N VeNT® Overview

N VeNT® is your interface to Falcon games, information, software updates, unique content and community. N VeNT® allows you to play, organize, download and purchase games and access personal and community features.

N VeNT® Tabs

• Home: The N VeNT® Home page tab allows you to see game updates, featured Falcon games, and search for available Falcon titles using various search and filter options.

• MyGames: The MyGames tab allows you to view your currently installed Falcon titles and launch them directly through N VeNT®. You can customize how you wish to have your games displayed using the buttons at the bottom of the window to choose between Carousel, Icon, List, Detail, and Tile views. To play a game, simple click on the game in your MyGames list.

• Store: Select the Store tab to search for Falcon devices, Falcon grips, games, merchandise, etc. You can add items to your cart and check out directly through N VeNT®. Internet connection is required to access the Store through N VeNT®.

• Tools: The Tools tab contains a collection of useful Tools and Utilities relating to N VeNT®, F-Gen, and the Falcon. To launch a tool simply click on the desired tool image on the Tools page. Here are some additional details on the tools and their functionality:

•• Add Non-Falcon Game •• This tool allows you to add non-Falcon games to your N VeNT® MyGames tab. When you click on this tool, the N VeNT® Game Adder window will appear that allows you to enter in the display name of the game as shown in N VeNT®, browse for the executable for the game, and select a game image to be displayed in N VeNT®. For the game image, it is recommended to use the standard N VeNT game image size of 138x99 pixels in either .png or .jpg format. After the information for the new game is entered, click the Save button to add the game to your N VeNT® games list.

•• F-Gen Manager •• If you currently have N VeNT® installed, this tool will launch the F-Gen Manager.

•• Falcon Test •• This tool will launch the Falcon Test utility. If you have F-Gen running, it is recommended you shut down F-Gen before running Falcon test. If you click Open on Falcon Test and it causes a lot of noise with the status box flashing green/yellow/red, or if clicking Open pulls all the arms of your Falcon, stop Falcon Test, unplug the USB cable on the Falcon then plug it back in and run Falcon Test again.

•• Falcon Army •• This will open a new browser and will navigate you to the Falcon Army website.

•• About N VeNT® •• This will open up a new window displaying info about N VeNT®.

•• Message Boards •• This will open a new browser and will navigate you to the Novint Message Boards.

•• Tutorial Config •• This will open up the Tutorial Config dialog box to let you change the mode in which the Falcon Tutorial is run. You can select between Tutorial, Demo, or Kiosk mode.

•• N VeNT® Updater •• This will launch the N VeNT® update tool to search for Falcon, N VeNT®, F-Gen, Game, and any other available updates. It will show you a list of updates to be downloaded. Please note that if you are testing a Falcon driver or HDAL update (such as testing F-Gen Beta2), do not let N VeNT® update your Falcon drivers as the version you are testing has not been released, and the updater will install a different version.

N VeNT® Icon Indicators

At the top of the N VeNT® window, there are some icon indicators which allow you to see and change the status of N VeNT®. Here are some additional details on the indicators:

• Internet Connection - / - This indicator shows the status of your internet connection. Internet is required for certain aspects of N VeNT® such as searching for updates, connecting to browser links, accessing the Store, etc.

• F-Gen Falcon Connection - / - This indicator shows if F-Gen is currently running. If the Falcon has a Red X through it, clicking on this icon will start F-Gen along with windows cursor control (assuming you have an active Windows profile set in F-Gen).

• N VeNT® Account Sign In - / - This indicator shows if you are currently logged into your N VeNT® account. If there is an ! on this icon, then you are not logged in and clicking on this icon will pop up a new window to allow you to log into your N VeNT® account.

• Character Sign In - / - This indicator shows if your N VeNT® character is currently logged in. If there is an ! on this icon, then you are not logged in and clicking on this icon will pop up a new window to allow you to log into as your N VeNT® Character.
